Who are we and what does the name signify?

Sunbird Mission began as an antithesis to the Canary Mission, a propaganda, blacklisting, and doxxing operation which serves to demonize critics of Israel within the realm of academia.

Instead, we strive to highlight the work of brave activists, historians, journalists, writers, former IDF soldiers, politicians, Jews, Muslims, Christians, people from all walks of life, who have dared to hold Israel accountable.

We chose the Palestine sunbird as our symbol because despite the challenges posed by its harsh, arid environment, this vibrant bird thrives, adapting to the limited resources available and finding sustenance in the nectar of desert blooms.

The Palestine sunbird perseveres, building nests and raising its young amidst the unforgiving landscape.The resilience of this small bird serves as a poignant reminder of the indomitable spirit that has carried the Palestinian people through generations of struggle and hardship.
