Gideon Levy
Winner of multiple awards for his journalistic excellence, Levy calls Israel
“the only occupation in history, where the occupier calls itself the victim. Not only, the victim, the only victim around.”
He has been a long-time columnist and member of the editorial board for the Israeli newspaper Haaretz. Levy’s work often focuses on the lives of Palestinians living under occupation, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and the policies of various Israeli governments regarding the conflict.
Gideon speaks on the totalitarianism of Zionism, and the occupation, which he terms as “part, and parcel” of Zionism. He contends, that this is not a matter of a “right,” or “left-wing” parties within Israel, and the difference is merely one of “rhetoric.” The end result is the same: The oppression of an entire people.
